Mafia 2 DE Plays worse on PS5. Mafia 2. Just did a playthrough on PS5, and it definitely has more issues than on PS4. Chapter 7 had a big area near Joe's apartment where all cars were falling through the map (including mine). The only way to avoid this was to manually navigate around this to my destination. The chapter where you drive to Leo's
And it's a wonderful game so yes get on it! BenedictChipsworth. • 2 yr. ago. Yeah I had more issues on PS5 than I did on PS4. On PS5 on the cathouse mission (when Vito returns from being, err, gone), there was a huge part of the map where I would fall through.
Mafia Definitive Edition is NOT Mafia 1, despite it being first from a chronological/plot standpoint. I feel bad for you that you played Mafia DE first tbh. The reason Mafia 2 was so phenomenal when it came out is because we were so used to the clunky, terribly voice acted, bland unrefined gsmeplay of the original game. Mafia 2 was an insane
Mafia: Definitive Edition uses a physically based material rendering pipeline, a step forward from Hanger 13’s work in Mafia 3. We’re at the tail end of the eighth-generation and at this point
The classic is basically redundant now, unless there are some glaring performance issues or whatever with the Definitive version. I really do hope you don't ask the same question with Mafia 1 Definitve edition when it comes out. Go compare the screenshots. Can't say I've noticed any performance issues so far.
This remake seems to be way more amazing second by second. I'm probably gping to make sin by pre-ordering this bad boy just because it seems so good and they made a good thing by giving definitive edition of mafia 2 and 3 for free to all players who owned original versions.
Mafia III's melee came in two flavors- brutal takedowns associated with combat, which were great; and then badly scripted fights that played much worse than II. Overall, I'd say Mafia II had the best melee. Cars/Driving: Mafia I and III are tied in terms of car variety, although II isn't shabby.
They all 3 were great imo, back in the day Mafia was something special on pc. Got several friends to play it & they all loved it. 2 was also really great, both 1 & 2 have the best stories imo. 3 was a lot of fun to play & cars & guns were done really well, story wise it's probably the weakest of the 3, but it deserves more than most say about it.
Definitive edition has a few difficulty settings and while racing is better a doable on lower settings, it's still bullshit on classic difficulty. A little bit better, but still will make you sweat. Something interesting. The og racing was difficult because developer was making a "realistic" racing game and used steering wheels .
everyone says mafia 1 is better, though i disagree. I can see where they are coming from though, nostalgia is a big factor too but i find mafia 2's atmosphere, locations, driving and shooting, story telling way better. i feel like mafia 1 was harder, but that means more satisfying to beat then mafia 2, the story was very good too, felt really
Well, I'm just remembering something that is actually a huge downside. If they implement 60 FPS for Mafia Definitive Edition, it will probably run as the downgraded Xbox One version, without One X optimizations. This is how FPS Boost works for Battlefield 1 and V, as an example. For most games, it's just a quick workaround.
Just a side note the OG is 8 GB and DE is 50GB which will be kind of important considering Steam Deck SSD memory limitations. Also OG might perform better, but idk if that will be the case. Thank you all for any advice and have a great day! Og is still the best experience imo. But now that I have played both, I think I can say both are still good.
USE THOSE GRASSY OVERTURNS!!! the first 3. you can overcome about 8-9 cars using those first 3 grass patches (tiny, bigger, biggest) use the past racers skid marks on the road as reference. when you see those skid marks, it’s time to hit the brakes. DONT HOLD BRAKE WHILE TURNING!!! tap it. tap it. tap it.
Sara - Definite Edition by far. Felt like an actual character in DE instead of just an accessory to Tommy like the original. Ralphie - Draw. I think both were good for the character being played but I feel like we got a lot less Ralphie in the DE since you weren't learning how to lockpick a bunch of different stuff. Vincenzo - Definitive Edition.
